Lebrecht has added two new outstanding collections this month.
POSTER ART from the Soviet Union, ranging from the days of the Russian Revolution in 1917 until modern times, can now be viewed at www.lebrecht.co.uk. Posters have featured heavily as a means of communication and as an outlet for artists during the Communist regime and after. The subjects range from revolution, civil war, collectivisation, anti-drinking campaigns, and through to sports and space travel. These superb examples of graphic arts reflect artistic movements throughout the 20th century.

Historical personalities’ anniversaries include Louis Braille and Abraham Lincoln.
