Lebrecht enjoyed another successful trip to Picturehouse in New York this autumn. As usual, Picturehouse New York provided a fantastic opportunity to present the collection to new picture researchers and chat about developments in the industry. We announced our latest acquisition – a unique collection of over 10,000 fine art images from Russian museums and galleries – marking our diversification into art pictures. The announcement garnered a lot of interest and we hope that this new material marks the start of a great new stage in our ever-expanding collection.
The trip to New York also allowed us to catch up with some of our favourite American clients. We were especially pleased to see our image of Bernard Haitink on proud display outside the Lincoln Center, advertising a recent London Symphony Orchestra performance at the Avery Fisher Hall.
Thanks to everyone who visited our stand and took the time to catch up. We look forward to seeing you again at next year’s Picturehouse.

Art Images at Lebrecht!
Lebrecht now carries a unique collection of over 10,500 images of paintings and photographs from Russian museums.
This outstanding and unusual Russian Collection (search under – Russian collection – at www.lebrecht.co.uk) includes paintings and photographs of Russian social history, domestic and religious life, political figures and posters and military scenes, plus over 200 rarely seen European works from the era of Impressionism.
These images complement the thousands of paintings, photographs and Soviet-era political posters already held by Lebrecht from Russian and other European sources. They enhance and expand our core brief of providing the most comprehensive background coverage of music, literature and the creative arts to be found in any single picture source.
In challenging times, Lebrecht Music and Arts is continuing to grow its resources, maintain its specialist staff and provide detailed attention to the search needs of clients, large and small. Watch here for news of further acquisitions.
