Lebrecht June 2009 Newsletter

All the 20th century dictators put pen to paper in their lifetimes and became authors. The most famous books were Mao’s ‘Little Red Book’ and Hitler’s ‘Mein Kampf ‘.

Lebrecht has built up a collection of posters, caricatures, and historic photographs of these totalitarian leaders, their rise to power and consequences of their doctrines on the history of the world. Our latest addition is a series of unusual posters from a private collection covering relations between Russia and Germany in World War II, Soviet Union and Czechoslovakia in the 1950s, and Germany as an occupying power in the 1940s.
