King James I portrait.

King James I portrait (Reigned 1603 – 1625 in England and from 1567 onwards in Scotland). The son of Mary queen of Scots and Lord Darnley. He was not a popular king, though his popularity increased after the Gunpowder plot. From Player’s cigarette cards, based on the painting by Daniel Mytens which belongs to the National Portrait Gallery.
